This was Continuum Studio’s first public showing for the company and our first game Project Chaos. OrlandoiX is the south’s largest celebration of creators in video games, virtual reality, and immersive experiences. Open to professionals and consumers, OrlandoiX features over 100 interactive experiences, industry leading keynotes, speaker presentations, gaming tournaments, game developer conference, and networking opportunities. Our set up for the event consisted of a projection TV, CS standing banner, and a computer the presented our artwork for the game at the current stage. Everyone had a great time. We had great feedback on our project despite being in a poor partner agreement at the present time. The current members at the event are Tyson, Adrianna, Danny, and Myself. We are looking forward to next year! Hoping to show off our game play then.
I had the opportunity to be apart of a the A Look into eSports and Their Impact panel. The panel consisted of Abe Stein; Business Development at Turtle Entertainment America, Inc. (ESL), Matt Marcou; eSports Executive & Consulting at EA Sports, Alex Jebailey; Founder of CEO Gaming, Chad Hoover M.Sc., CSM; Founder/CEO – Continuum Studio and it was Moderated by Michael Chapman, Head of Community at Hitbox.tv. We discussed how eSports events are put on, the unique challenges and solutions they provide, where this industry is headed, and perhaps tap into what types of games, or ways to make games, that are appealing to both professional and mainstream gamers.
I would like to thank Michelle Nephew, Vista-print and everyone at Big Frog of Winter Park.
